Fes and Meknes Welcome Moroccans Living Abroad with Investment Week: Ready-to-Invest Projects, Financing, and Business Support Available

Fes – The Regional Investment Center of the Fes-Meknes Region has announced the organization of Investment Week for Moroccans Living Abroad (MREs), scheduled to take place from August 10 to 13, 2026. The initiative aims to support members of the Moroccan diaspora by introducing them to investment opportunities available in the region, as well as the incentives and support mechanisms provided by the government to help transform their business ideas into productive investments.

This initiative, organized by the Ministry of Investment, Convergence and Evaluation of Public Policies through the various Regional Investment Centers across Morocco, is part of a national strategy to strengthen the contribution of Moroccans living abroad to the country’s economic development by facilitating investment opportunities and promoting their expertise and professional experience.

In this context, the Regional Investment Center of Fes-Meknes has established a dedicated Moroccans Living Abroad Support Unit to welcome members of the diaspora at its headquarters in Fes and its branch office in Meknes. The Center will also participate in activities marking the National Day of the Moroccan Migrant on August 10 across the provinces and prefectures of the region.

Throughout the four-day event, participants will benefit from interactive meetings and presentations highlighting the economic potential of the Fes-Meknes Region, investment opportunities in promising sectors, and the Sectoral Project Bank, which features investment-ready projects supported by feasibility studies, sector-specific analyses, and recommendations on suitable land and locations to help investors make informed decisions.

The Center will also provide detailed presentations on the incentives available under Morocco’s New Investment Charter, in addition to regional support programs that offer project assistance and employment support mechanisms.

The Regional Investment Center invited all Moroccans Living Abroad, whether they already have investment projects or are simply developing business ideas, to take advantage of the reception and advisory services offered under the slogan:

“Fes-Meknes Region: An Attractive Destination for Investments by Moroccans Living Abroad.”

The program includes two main meetings:

  • Wednesday, August 12, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., at the Regional Investment Center headquarters on Taha Hussein Avenue, Fes.
  • Thursday, August 13, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., at the Center’s branch office in the Hamria District, Meknes.

The Center confirmed that the Moroccans Living Abroad Support Unit will remain available throughout the year, both through in-person services at its offices in Fes and Meknes, and remotely via a dedicated email address. Participants may also register in advance using the event’s QR Code.

The initiative aims to strengthen the attractiveness of the Fes-Meknes Region as an investment destination while bringing business support services closer to Moroccans living abroad, in line with Morocco’s national strategy to encourage diaspora investment and enhance its contribution to economic development, value creation, and job opportunities.
