Washington – Le ministre des Affaires étrangères, de la Coopération africaine et des Marocains résidant à l’étranger, Nasser Bourita, a participé jeudi 19 février à la réunion inaugurale du « Conseil de la paix » lancé par le président américain Donald Trump, dans la capitale américaine, en présence de chefs d’État, de gouvernement et de ministres des Affaires étrangères représentant près d’une cinquantaine de pays.
Washington – The Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates, Nasser Bourita, took part on Thursday, February 19, in the inaugural meeting of the “Peace Council” launched by U.S. President Donald Trump in the American capital, attended by heads of state, government officials, and foreign ministers representing nearly fifty countries.

Lors de cette rencontre, M. Bourita a affirmé que Mohammed VI soutient l’initiative américaine visant à reconstruire la bande de Gaza et à impulser un véritable processus de paix au Moyen-Orient.
During the meeting, Mr. Bourita stated that Mohammed VI supports the American initiative aimed at rebuilding the Gaza Strip and advancing a genuine peace process in the Middle East.

Le ministre a indiqué que le plan américain pour la paix à Gaza a contribué à l’instauration d’un cessez-le-feu et à la fin d’un conflit qualifié de tragique, tout en proposant une approche pragmatique pour la reconstruction du territoire.
The minister explained that the U.S. peace plan for Gaza helped secure a ceasefire and end what was described as a tragic conflict, while also proposing a practical approach to rebuilding the territory.

Il a précisé que, sur hautes instructions du Roi Mohammed VI, Président du Comité Al-Qods, le Maroc s’implique dans le soutien aux efforts du « Conseil de la paix » à Gaza, notamment dans les domaines de la sécurité, de la santé et de la promotion des valeurs de tolérance et de coexistence.
He added that, under the high instructions of King Mohammed VI, Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee, Morocco is engaged in supporting the “Peace Council” efforts in Gaza, particularly in the fields of security, healthcare, and the promotion of tolerance and coexistence.

M. Bourita a également souligné la nécessité de remplir les conditions de la deuxième phase du plan afin de garantir la réussite du processus de paix, appelant au maintien de la stabilité en Cisjordanie et à l’implication des Palestiniens à travers leurs institutions légitimes. Il a affirmé que la stabilisation et la reconstruction de Gaza constituent une porte d’entrée vers un processus politique fondé sur la solution à deux États.
Mr. Bourita also stressed the importance of meeting the conditions of the plan’s second phase to ensure the success of peace efforts, calling for maintaining stability in the West Bank and ensuring Palestinians play their role through their legitimate institutions. He affirmed that stabilizing and rebuilding Gaza would pave the way for a political process based on the two-state solution.

Lors de la session d’ouverture, le président américain Donald Trump a annoncé que plusieurs pays, dont le Maroc, ont contribué à mobiliser plus de 7 milliards de dollars en faveur de Gaza, aux côtés du Kazakhstan, de l’Azerbaïdjan, des Émirats arabes unis, de Bahreïn, du Qatar, de l’Arabie saoudite, de l’Ouzbékistan et du Koweït.
During the opening session, President Donald Trump announced that several countries, including Morocco, had helped mobilize more than $7 billion to support Gaza, alongside Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Uzbekistan, and Kuwait.

Selon des informations de la Maison-Blanche, la réunion a également abordé la proposition d’envoyer « des milliers de militaires » dans le cadre d’une force internationale de stabilisation chargée de superviser les lignes de cessez-le-feu à Gaza et d’accompagner les arrangements sécuritaires liés aux frontières.
According to White House information, the meeting also discussed a proposal to deploy “thousands of troops” as part of an international stabilization force tasked with overseeing ceasefire lines in Gaza and supporting border-related security arrangements.
