Security forces belonging to the mixed unit tasked with securing educational institutions in the security province of Beni Mellal apprehended a suspect on Thursday in a case related to the manipulation and luring of minors for the purpose of subjecting them to sexual assaults.
According to a statement from the General Directorate of National Security, the police in Beni Mellal initiated a judicial investigation following complaints filed by parents of a group of minors, aged between 8 and 10 years, accusing an individual of stalking and luring them for sexual assaults. As a result of the conducted investigations and inquiries, the identity of the suspect was determined, leading to his arrest.
The suspect has been detained under provisional custody pending further investigation by the competent public prosecutor’s office to uncover all the circumstances and details of this case, as well as to determine the true motives behind these criminal acts.
