The Ministry of the Royal Household, Protocol and Chancellery announced that Commander of the Faithful, His Majesty King Mohammed VI, will chair, today, Monday, September 21, 2026, at the Mohammed V Mausoleum in Rabat, the religious ceremony held to mark the 28th anniversary of the death of His Majesty the late King Hassan II.
In a statement, the ministry explained that the occasion falls on 9 Rabi’ al-Thani 1448 AH, and that the religious ceremony will be held in a spiritual atmosphere to commemorate the memory of the late King.
The same source added that the religious ceremony will be broadcast live on radio and television, starting from this evening’s Maghrib prayer.
Various regions across the Kingdom are also witnessing the organization of religious activities on this occasion, as the services of the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs announced the holding of religious ceremonies to commemorate the 28th anniversary of the death of King Hassan II.

Le ministère de la Maison Royale, du Protocole et de la Chancellerie a annoncé que le Commandeur des croyants, Sa Majesté le Roi Mohammed VI, présidera, ce lundi 21 septembre 2026, au Mausolée Mohammed V à Rabat, la cérémonie religieuse organisée à l’occasion du 28e anniversaire du décès de Sa Majesté le Roi Hassan II, que Dieu ait son âme.
Dans un communiqué, le ministère a précisé que cette occasion correspond au 9 Rabia II 1448 de l’Hégire et que la cérémonie se déroulera dans une atmosphère religieuse, en hommage à la mémoire du défunt Roi.
La même source a ajouté que la cérémonie religieuse sera retransmise en direct à la radio et à la télévision, à partir de la prière du Maghrib de ce lundi.
Différentes régions du Royaume connaissent également l’organisation d’activités religieuses à cette occasion. Les services du ministère des Habous et des Affaires islamiques ont annoncé la tenue de cérémonies religieuses en hommage au 28e anniversaire du décès du Roi Hassan II.
