Doha – Sur Hautes Instructions de Sa Majesté le Roi Mohammed VI, le Chef du gouvernement, Aziz Akhannouch, a représenté lundi le Royaume du Maroc lors de la cérémonie de présentation des condoléances à Son Altesse Cheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Émir de l’État du Qatar, à la suite du décès de son père, Son Altesse le Père Émir Cheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani. La cérémonie s’est tenue au Palais de Lusail, à Doha.
À cette occasion, le Chef du gouvernement a remis à l’Émir du Qatar un message de condoléances et de compassion de Sa Majesté le Roi Mohammed VI, dans lequel le Souverain exprime sa profonde tristesse à l’annonce du décès du Père Émir et présente ses sincères condoléances à la famille princière ainsi qu’au peuple qatari.
Dans son message, Sa Majesté le Roi indique avoir appris cette disparition « avec une profonde tristesse et une grande affliction », adressant ses plus sincères condoléances à Son Altesse Cheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, à la famille régnante et au peuple qatari, tout en priant Dieu Tout-Puissant d’accorder au défunt Son infinie miséricorde et d’inspirer à ses proches patience et réconfort.
Le Souverain a également salué le parcours du défunt, mettant en avant les importantes réalisations qui ont contribué à la modernisation de l’État du Qatar et au renforcement de son développement économique et politique, ainsi que son rôle au service des causes arabes et islamiques et du renforcement de la solidarité entre les peuples arabes.
Sa Majesté a en outre rappelé les liens fraternels qui unissaient le Père Émir au Royaume du Maroc, soulignant que le Maroc gardera de lui un profond respect et une grande reconnaissance pour son soutien constant au Royaume, sa contribution à plusieurs projets de développement et ses positions favorables aux causes nationales marocaines.
De son côté, Son Altesse Cheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani a exprimé sa gratitude à Sa Majesté le Roi Mohammed VI pour cette marque de solidarité fraternelle, saluant les relations personnelles qui unissent les deux Chefs d’État ainsi que la profondeur des liens historiques et stratégiques entre le Maroc et le Qatar.
La délégation marocaine comprenait également le ministre des Affaires étrangères, de la Coopération africaine et des Marocains résidant à l’étranger, Nasser Bourita, ainsi que l’Ambassadeur de Sa Majesté le Roi auprès de l’État du Qatar, Mohamed Setri.
Cette participation officielle, sur Hautes Instructions Royales, illustre la profondeur des relations fraternelles et du partenariat stratégique entre Rabat et Doha, fondés sur la coopération, la coordination et la solidarité autour des questions d’intérêt commun.
Under Royal Instructions, Akhannouch Delivers King Mohammed VI’s Condolence Message to Qatar’s Emir, Reaffirming Strong Morocco-Qatar Relations
Doha – Under the High Instructions of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Head of Government Aziz Akhannouch represented the Kingdom of Morocco on Monday at the official condolence ceremony for His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of the State of Qatar, following the passing of his father, the Father Emir, Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani. The ceremony took place at Lusail Palace in Doha.
During the meeting, Akhannouch delivered a message of condolence and sympathy from His Majesty King Mohammed VI, expressing the King’s profound sorrow over the passing of the Father Emir and extending heartfelt condolences to the Qatari ruling family and the people of Qatar.
In his message, King Mohammed VI stated that he received the news of the Father Emir’s passing “with deep sorrow and great sadness,” offering his sincere condolences to Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the ruling family, and the Qatari people, while praying that God grant the late Emir His infinite mercy and bestow patience and comfort upon his loved ones.
The King also paid tribute to the late Father Emir’s distinguished legacy, highlighting his major contributions to the modernization of Qatar, the strengthening of its economic and political development, and his role in supporting Arab and Islamic causes while promoting Arab solidarity.
His Majesty further recalled the close fraternal ties that united the late Father Emir with the Kingdom of Morocco, emphasizing that Morocco will always remember him with deep respect and gratitude for his unwavering support for the Kingdom, his contribution to several Moroccan development projects, and his supportive positions regarding Morocco’s national causes.
For his part, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani expressed his appreciation to King Mohammed VI for this gesture of solidarity, praising the personal relationship between the two leaders and the longstanding historical and strategic partnership between Morocco and Qatar.
The Moroccan delegation also included Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates Nasser Bourita, along with Morocco’s Ambassador to the State of Qatar, Mohamed Setri.
The official participation, carried out under Royal Instructions, reflects the depth of the fraternal ties and strategic partnership between Rabat and Doha, built on cooperation, coordination, and solidarity on issues of shared interest.
