Fes: The Fes Municipal Council is officially nearing completion of the legal and administrative procedures required to allocate a new land plot for the construction of an Islamic cemetery opposite the current Wislan cemetery, in a practical step aimed at addressing the shortage of burial spaces affecting the city’s residents.
This institutional measure comes in response to the growing pressure on cemeteries in the spiritual capital, many of which have reached their maximum capacity. The new land site is expected to provide adequate infrastructure capable of meeting the needs of residents for years to come, once final approval is granted and development works begin.
Fès s’oriente vers la création d’un nouveau cimetière pour faire face à la saturation des espaces d’inhumation
Fès : Le Conseil communal de Fès est sur le point d’achever les procédures juridiques et administratives nécessaires à l’affectation d’un nouveau terrain destiné à la création d’un cimetière musulman en face du cimetière actuel de Wislan, dans le but de remédier à la pénurie d’espaces d’inhumation qui préoccupe les habitants de la ville.
Cette démarche institutionnelle intervient en réponse à la pression croissante que connaissent les cimetières de la capitale spirituelle, dont plusieurs ont atteint leur capacité maximale. Le nouveau site foncier devrait offrir une infrastructure adaptée aux besoins de la population pour les années à venir, dès l’approbation définitive du projet et le lancement des travaux d’aménagement.
