In an official letter dated January 13, 2026, the Association of Parents and Guardians of Students at Hassan Middle School in Sefrou addressed the Wali of the Fes–Meknes Region regarding the issue of school transportation for students from the Oulad Tayeb municipality, التابعة لعمالة فاس، according to the content of the document.
According to the letter, the association pointed out that students pay a monthly fee of 80 Moroccan dirhams, in addition to an annual insurance fee of 150 dirhams, in exchange for benefiting from the school transport service. However, the document records observations related to the incompatibility of transport schedules with school timetables, despite previous letters sent to local authorities.
In a related context, local sources reported that in the event of losing the school transport access card, a replacement is issued for 50 dirhams, while the actual printing cost does not exceed two dirhams at most, according to the same sources—raising questions about the pricing of this service-related document.
The same sources added that the delivery slip associated with the service does not bear the signature of the Secretary-General, which raises further questions about the administrative procedures followed in issuing and delivering these documents, pending official clarifications from the relevant authorities.
Through its correspondence to the Wali of the region, the association called for urgent intervention to resolve this issue and to ensure an organized and appropriate school transport service for students, in a manner that guarantees equal opportunities and the continuity of schooling under suitable conditions.
