El Hajeb Province has seen heavy snowfall over the past hours across a number of areas, causing travel difficulties on certain road sections, according to preliminary information circulating locally.
Local sources reported that field teams have started on-the-ground operations to open routes and remove snow, as part of efforts aimed at restoring traffic flow to normal and limiting the impact of the weather disturbance on residents and road users.
Interventions, the same sources said, have focused on the most affected sections where snow has accumulated, while field monitoring continues in anticipation of renewed snowfall or falling temperatures that could increase ice formation.
Local stakeholders also urged motorists to exercise caution and avoid non-essential travel on some mountainous routes during peak weather conditions, until road-clearing operations are completed and routes are secured.
