The eleventh edition of the “Ri’aya” operation was launched on November 15, 2025, in the Fez-Meknes region and will continue until March 30, 2026, in implementation of the high instructions of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God grant him victory, aimed at providing health and social care to populations affected by cold waves and snow.
Approximately 121,733 people from mountainous and isolated areas in the provinces of Sefrou, Boulemane, Ifrane, Taounate, Taza, and El Hajeb will benefit from this operation.
Key Components of the Regional Plan
- Exceptional Human Mobilization:
64 specialist doctors, 69 general practitioners, 14 dentists, 245 nurses, 91 midwives, 36 technicians, 43 administrators. - 97 health facilities + 178 high-risk gathering points + 119 low-risk gathering points.
- 26 mobile medical units + 55 ambulances (including SAMU ambulances equipped with resuscitation equipment).
- 479 scheduled field visits by mobile medical units distributed as follows:
• Ifrane and Taza: 114 visits per province
• Boulemane: 134 visits
• Taounate: 48 visits
• Sefrou: 32 visits
• El Hajeb: 35 visits
Free and Mobile Health Services
- Provision of medicines and medical supplies free of charge.
- Mobile biomedical equipment: ultrasound machines, analysis laboratories, dental chairs, optometry equipment.
- Census of pregnant women and their transport to maternity homes or hospitals for safe delivery.
- Strengthening epidemiological surveillance and awareness programs about the risks of severe cold.
Ministerial Recognition of Previous Efforts
The region received a letter of commendation from the Minister of Health and Social Protection for the previous edition of “Ri’aya,” in recognition of the distinguished efforts of health, administrative, and technical staff, and the tight coordination with local authorities and civil society.
Through this operation, the Fez-Meknes region affirms its full commitment to ensuring continuity of health services under the most difficult climatic conditions, and consolidating the principle of bringing healthcare closer to every citizen, regardless of accessibility challenges.
