This Wednesday morning Abi Bakr Al-Siddiq Al-Massira School (Zouagha District – Fes) organized a major environmental awareness campaign under the supervision of the local authority of Al-Massira annexe, in partnership with the institution’s Environmental Club, and implemented by “Macoomar for Environment – Fes 2” company.
The activity was attended by:
- The Provincial Director of the Ministry of National Education in Fes
- Head of Al-Massira Security District
- Pasha of Al-Massira annexe
- Local elected officials
- Civil society activists and neighborhood associations
- Educational and administrative staff of the institution
The campaign targeted primary level students and included a diverse and interactive program comprising:
- Awareness presentations on the importance of waste sorting, maintaining cleanliness, and reducing plastic use
- Educational games and quiz competitions to measure students’ awareness of environmental issues
- Drawing and coloring workshops on the theme “My Green City” in which students participated with great enthusiasm
- Distribution of commemorative gifts and certificates of appreciation to members of the institution’s Environmental Club in recognition of their active participation
The Provincial Director of Education and Teaching affirmed in a speech for the occasion that “these initiatives fall within the national direction to establish environmental citizenship education within the educational system, and embody the New Development Model that places people and the environment at the heart of its concerns.”
For his part, the representative of Macoomar for Environment – Fes 2 company praised “the great interaction shown by the students,” confirming that the company “will continue its awareness programs in educational institutions in the city to create a generation aware of the importance of preserving the environment.”
The event left a significant positive impression on the students and educational staff, with many expressing their desire to participate in similar campaigns in the future, promising to be “ambassadors of cleanliness” in their neighborhoods and families.
On this occasion, the institution’s administration and the Environmental Club renewed their thanks to all partners who contributed to the success of this outstanding environmental day.
