The General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) has decided to upgrade the organizational structure of the National Security services at Rabat-Salé Airport from a special commissariat to a security zone, with the accompanying reinforcement of human and logistical resources, creation of operational teams and specialized units, in the context of security support for the major expansion being witnessed at this air border crossing.
The General Directorate of National Security has also decided to establish second anti-gang squads in both the Marrakech and Fes security prefectures, to reinforce the regular teams currently in place and increase the readiness of services responsible for combating crime.
This new structural organization falls within the work strategy adopted by National Security services, aimed at aligning security work with economic and service development in the field of air transport and with demographic growth and urban expansion, as well as intensifying security coverage in a manner that ensures crime prevention and punishment and enhances the sense of security, in addition to bringing security services closer to citizens and improving their quality.
In line with this new structural organization, the General Directorate of National Security announced a new list containing a number of appointments to positions of responsibility that take into account the new organizational structure of National Security services at Rabat-Salé Airport, which included the promotion of the former head of the special commissariat to the position of head of a security zone, in addition to the appointment of four heads of various services at this border crossing.
In a related context, the General Directorate of National Security also released, on Saturday afternoon, November 8, another list containing a number of appointments to positions of responsibility in the decentralized services of National Security in the cities of Marrakech, Fes, Safi, Beni Mellal, and Casablanca.
The new appointments approved by the Director General of National Security, Abdellatif Hammouchi, included 8 additional positions of police responsibility in National Security services, including the appointment of two heads for the second anti-gang squads established in Marrakech and Fes, as well as the appointment of a deputy to the head of the Beni Mellal security zone and a head of the prefectural service for police social work in Settat.
This list also included the appointment of a head of the special commissariat for the Port of Safi and a head of the traffic police squad at the Port of Casablanca, in addition to placing two security executives at the head of two police districts in the Casablanca security prefecture.
These new appointments fall within the context of ongoing dynamics aimed at enhancing the efficiency and productivity of police human resources, by enabling rotation in positions of responsibility, and entrusting the operational management of police facilities to highly trained and qualified security competencies capable of implementing action plans aimed at enhancing citizen security and ensuring the safety of their property.
