A shocking scene in the Ait Sakatou neighborhood of Fes this morning left residents stunned and fearful, after a painter was seen hanging from the second floor of a building, working on the exterior wall without any safety equipment or protective gear.
The painter, as shown in the photo, was clinging to the wall with one hand while holding a paint roller with the other, standing on a makeshift ladder — with no helmet, no harness, and no safety measures in place — in what witnesses described as a life-threatening act of recklessness.
Residents of the neighborhood expressed their frustration over the absence of workplace safety standards, warning that such dangerous practices could easily lead to tragedy. They called on local authorities to enforce stricter safety regulations and protect workers who often risk their lives due to difficult economic conditions.
