The Supreme Judicial Council has decided to temporarily suspend the Deputy Public Prosecutor at the Court of Appeal in Fez from work

The Supreme Council of the Judiciary has temporarily suspended the Deputy Public Prosecutor at the Fez Court of Appeal pending an investigation into a criminal case. This decision follows a complaint filed by a parliamentarian from the Authenticity and Modernity Party, who owns a leisure complex near National Road No. 6 connecting Fez and Meknes. The complaint, supported by a video recording, accuses the deputy prosecutor of attempting to extort money from him.

The judicial official is expected to be referred to the investigating judge at the Rabat Court of Appeal to examine the allegations against him and verify the circumstances outlined in the complaint submitted by the parliamentarian from the Moulay Yacoub constituency. Investigations are ongoing, with close judicial oversight to ensure transparency and uphold the integrity of judicial work.
