Royal Gendarmerie Arrests Drug Dealer in Tizi Ousli, Taza Province

Taza – As part of proactive security campaigns aimed at enhancing safety, stability, and combating various forms of crime, the Royal Gendarmerie units at the Tizi Ousli territorial center, in coordination with the Royal Gendarmerie detachment in Taza, successfully arrested an individual suspected of drug trafficking on the evening of Monday, September 1, 2025, around 5 p.m.

The security operation followed a precise ambush based on accurate intelligence, leading to the apprehension of the suspect along with a significant quantity of cannabis resin, “shira,” and “tabba” prepared for sale, in addition to a small weighing scale.

After completing the inspection procedures, the suspect was taken to the Royal Gendarmerie territorial center for interrogation under a formal report, before being placed under custody by order of the competent public prosecution, pending presentation before the judiciary.

This security intervention earned great appreciation from the residents of Tizi Ousli commune, belonging to the Aknoul district in Taza Province, who expressed relief at the efforts made by the Gendarmerie in combating crime and protecting the population.

This security success reflects the discipline and professionalism of the security forces, sending a strong message to anyone attempting to threaten public safety in the region.
