Urgent Appeal from Fez Blood Transfusion Center: Severe Donor Shortage Threatens Ongoing Treatment

Fez, Morocco – The blood transfusion center in the city of Fez is facing a severe and unprecedented crisis due to a significant shortage of blood donors. This is negatively impacting the center’s ability to meet the increasing demand for blood units. The center has issued an urgent appeal to citizens to help save lives by donating blood.

Officials at the center attribute this shortage to a recent decline in donor numbers, while hospitals and clinics are seeing a rise in blood requests for emergencies, surgical patients, and those with chronic illnesses.

This crisis poses a major challenge to the local healthcare system, as blood reserves are essential for ensuring the continuity of treatment and providing immediate medical care to those in need.

In this context, the center calls on all healthy and eligible citizens to participate in this humanitarian initiative. The center’s management reminds the public that blood donation is a noble act, and “the one who points to a good deed is like the one who does it.”

To contribute to this humanitarian campaign, donors can go to the Fez Blood Transfusion Center, which is open from Monday to Saturday, from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
