Fes, Morocco – The Fes security prefecture was informed this Tuesday morning of the death of a person who was under medical supervision at the university hospital as part of an investigation into a misdemeanor case.
According to preliminary information, the individual was arrested on August 16 on suspicion of involvement in a misdemeanor case. During the investigation, he stated that he suffered from a chronic illness, which required his transfer and retention at the hospital for necessary medical treatment.
The detainee passed away at the hospital this Tuesday morning. Consequently, a judicial investigation has been opened under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor’s office to determine all the circumstances of this case and the conditions of death.
In a related context, the body of the deceased has been kept at the hospital for a medical examination to determine the actual cause of death.
