The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on Friday expressed strong condemnation of Israel’s plan to seize control of Gaza City and directly accused Israel of committing acts of starvation and ethnic cleansing against the Palestinian people.
In an official statement published by the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter), Riyadh firmly rejected what it described as “the Israeli decision to occupy the Gaza Strip,” calling it a serious escalation and a blatant violation of international law and legitimacy.
“The Kingdom strongly condemns the decision of the Israeli occupation authorities to occupy the Gaza Strip,” the statement read, “and categorically denounces the ongoing crimes of starvation, brutal practices, and policies of ethnic cleansing against the brotherly Palestinian people.”
Saudi Arabia reaffirmed its steadfast position in support of the Palestinian cause, stressing the urgent need for the international community to take decisive action to end these violations, protect Palestinian civilians, and halt the ongoing aggression against Gaza.
These statements come amid a worsening humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip and continued Israeli military operations that have left thousands dead and displaced, as warnings grow of an unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe.
