A local citizen expressed strong frustration to Fes News over the absence of public employees at the “Al-Madina” Administrative Annex in the city of Sefrou, on Monday morning—a time when public service offices are expected to be open and operational.
According to the complainant, he arrived at the annex at 8:30 AM to complete an administrative procedure, only to find that most offices were closed, and nearly all employees absent, except for one civil status officer. No signs or official notices were posted to explain the delay.
The citizen further claimed that some attendees said employees often do not begin work until 10:00 AM, which he described as a blatant violation of the official administrative schedule, which mandates public service offices to open by 8:30 AM.
Call for Accountability
In his statement, the complainant called on the Minister of the Interior, the Governor of Sefrou Province, and the President of the Commune to launch an urgent investigation into the matter. He warned that such behavior undermines public trust in government institutions and damages the reputation of public service both locally and nationally.
