Rabat – The Moroccan capital, Rabat, will host tomorrow, Tuesday, the fifth meeting of the Global Coalition for the Implementation of the Two-State Solution, which will be held under the theme “Maintaining the Dynamism of the Peace Process: Lessons Learned, Successes and Prospects.”
This important meeting, organized by the Kingdom of Morocco in partnership with the Kingdom of the Netherlands, will witness broad and high-level participation, with prominent political officials and special envoys in charge of the Middle East peace process scheduled to attend, in addition to actors and representatives of international organizations involved in supporting the two-state solution.
This meeting aims to launch a practical platform showcasing projects, initiatives, and achievements that serve the prospects for achieving a lasting and comprehensive peace in the Middle East region. The work of the meeting is expected to culminate in the formulation of a set of practical policy recommendations aimed at supporting the diplomatic efforts made and strengthening the conditions that would lead to the realization of the two-state solution, which enjoys broad international consensus.
The Kingdom of Morocco’s hosting of this meeting reflects its pivotal role in supporting peace and stability efforts in the region, and its firm commitment to finding a just and lasting solution to the Palestinian issue in accordance with international resolutions and the principles of international legitimacy. This joint initiative with the Kingdom of the Netherlands also underscores the importance of concerted international efforts to advance the peace process towards achieving the two-state solution, which has broad international consensus.
