The regional offices of the Unions of Women and Youth in Education in Skhirat-Temara issued a joint statement on April 13, 2025, following the physical assault on teacher “Hajar El Ayyar” by a trainee at the Vocational Training Center in Erfoud.
The statement, under the slogan “For Educational Institutions Without Violence,” expressed its strong condemnation of this behavior, demanding the adoption of urgent and strict measures to ensure the protection of both male and female educators and preserve their dignity within the workplace.
The statement presented four main recommendations to address the phenomenon of violence in educational institutions:
- Launching regular awareness initiatives to establish a culture of non-violence.
- Educating learners to express themselves away from aggressive behaviors.
- Activating listening units for psychological support.
- Strengthening the presence of social and educational specialists.
The statement emphasized that confronting the growing phenomenon of violence is a collective responsibility that requires unified efforts and a comprehensive approach.
