Fez – The first Regional Forum on Spa Tourism in the Fez-Meknes region will kick off tomorrow, Thursday, April 10, 2025, at the Euro-Mediterranean University. The opening of the forum is expected to be attended by official figures and prominent personalities in the tourism and investment sectors at both regional and national levels.
The opening events will begin with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, followed by the national anthem. The opening ceremony will include welcoming speeches from the President of the Fez-Meknes Regional Council and the Wali of the Fez-Meknes region, who will emphasize the importance of this forum in highlighting the natural potential of the region in the field of thermal waters and its significant potential for developing spa tourism.
Opening speeches will also be delivered by the President of the Euro-Mediterranean University, the President of the Regional Tourism Council, and the Vice-President of the region in charge of tourism promotion, who will present the promising investment opportunities in this sector and the expected contribution of spa tourism to the economic and social development of the region.
During the opening ceremony, an institutional film will be screened, highlighting the features of the thermal waters available in the Fez-Meknes region and their therapeutic properties. Following this, attendees will visit the exhibition stands accompanying the forum, where they will view various offerings from stakeholders in the health and spa tourism sector. The first day will conclude with a tea reception held in honor of the guests.
The forum’s activities will continue over Friday and Saturday, with Friday, April 11, featuring various scientific seminars and workshops. These events will discuss the natural potential of the region, the investment opportunities available in the thermal water sector, the therapeutic role of these waters, as well as the legal and regulatory aspects related to the development of spa tourism.
The forum will conclude on Saturday, April 12, with a field visit to one of the leading investment projects in the thermal water sector in the region. This visit aims to enable participants to learn about successful experiences and existing field models in this promising sector.
