In a move that reflects the depth of military cooperation between Morocco and Mali, the Moroccan city of Ben Guerir received a first batch of Malian soldiers, numbering 165, to undergo intensive training by experts from the 2nd Parachute Infantry Brigade of the Royal Moroccan Armed Forces. The training included advanced courses in tactical parachute jumping and airborne landing operations, aimed at enhancing the capabilities of the Malian army in facing the security challenges facing the region.
The Malian official television followed these exercises and broadcast footage of Malian soldiers receiving intensive training by Moroccan experts. This was the first batch of Malian soldiers, and it is expected that 500 more soldiers will join training centers in Morocco in the coming period.
