Moroccan Soldiers Martyred in Traffic Accident During Anti-Drug Mission

Two Moroccan soldiers, Corporals Faisal Mujahid and Mohamed Hasnawi, were martyred on Sunday, March 30, 2025, in a tragic traffic accident that occurred in the Takounit area, while they were pursuing a four-wheel-drive vehicle loaded with drugs.

According to military sources, the four-wheel-drive vehicle deliberately collided with the military patrol, resulting in serious injuries to the two soldiers, who died while being transported to the hospital. A third soldier was also injured in the accident and is still receiving necessary treatment.

Following this tragic incident, the Royal Armed Forces provided a military helicopter to transport the bodies of the martyrs to their hometowns, where they were buried in a solemn funeral attended by military and civilian officials, as well as family members and friends.

Attendees expressed their deep sorrow for the loss of the soldiers and praised their noble sacrifices for the sake of the nation. The Royal Armed Forces also extended condolences and assistance to the families of the martyrs during this difficult time.

This incident comes as part of the efforts exerted by the Royal Armed Forces to combat drug trafficking across borders, which has witnessed a noticeable increase recently.
