Fez News has learned from a source within the Civil Protection services that a horrific traffic accident occurred yesterday on Ouislane Road in Fez, resulting in the death of a 31-year-old man who was riding a C50 motorcycle.
According to the same source, the accident took place at approximately 18:20, when the victim sustained severe injuries that led to his immediate death, despite rapid intervention efforts by emergency teams.
Security authorities and Civil Protection personnel arrived at the scene, where the victim’s body was transferred to the morgue pending the completion of necessary legal procedures. Meanwhile, the relevant authorities have launched an investigation to determine the causes and circumstances of the accident, with preliminary indications suggesting that excessive speed or failure to comply with traffic regulations may have contributed to the tragedy.
This incident once again highlights the issue of motorcycle accidents, which have been occurring at an alarming rate in several Moroccan cities due to the lack of adequate protective measures and reckless driving by some motorists. This calls for enhanced awareness efforts and stricter road surveillance to curb this phenomenon.
