Fez, February 22, 2025 — The Regional Delegation of Health and Social Protection in Fez, in partnership with the National Initiative for Human Development and the Association for Supporting Public Health, and under the supervision of the Regional Directorate of Health and Social Protection in the Fez-Meknes region, organized a health caravan on Saturday, February 22, 2025. This initiative coincided with the national campaign for vaccination review and catch-up and was carried out at the Sidi Harazem Primary Rural Health Center, aiming to provide health and medical services for women and children.
The Regional Delegation of Health and Social Protection in Fez mobilized medical equipment, logistical resources, and human resources to ensure the success of this campaign. The number of services provided in this noble initiative reached approximately 407 beneficiaries, distributed as follows:
- General Medicine: 81 beneficiaries.
- Ultrasound for Pregnant Women: 24 beneficiaries.
- Diabetes Screening: 98 beneficiaries.
- Breast Cancer Screening: 35 beneficiaries.
- Cervical Cancer Screening: 34 beneficiaries.
- Rapid HIV Testing: 34 beneficiaries.
Medications were also distributed free of charge based on the prescriptions issued by the participating doctors.
In parallel with the medical services, awareness sessions were organized on measles (Bouhmroun) and the importance of vaccination against this disease, as well as other diseases targeted by the national vaccination program. Around 50 beneficiaries participated in these awareness sessions, which were conducted by health professionals from the Regional Delegation of Health and Social Protection in Fez and the Association for Supporting Public Health.
This health caravan is part of ongoing efforts to promote health awareness and provide essential medical services to the population, especially in rural areas, with the aim of improving quality of life and reducing the spread of diseases.
