Based on accurate information provided by the services of the General Directorate of Surveillance of National Territory (DGST), police officers at the Tetouan Security Directorate managed, yesterday morning, Friday, February 14, to thwart an attempt to smuggle 12,000 pills and arrest two people aged 21 and 32, suspected of being linked to a criminal network active in the trafficking of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances, according to a statement from the General Directorate of National Security.
According to a statement by the General Directorate of National Security, this security operation was carried out in the city of Tetouan, where the two suspects were caught on board a light vehicle in flagrante delicto in possession and trafficking of hallucinogenic tablets, before the search operation resulted in the discovery in their possession of 12,000 Revotrel tablets and a sum of money suspected of being the proceeds of the commission of these criminal acts.
The suspect was taken into custody pending the investigation supervised by the competent public prosecution, in order to uncover the circumstances and circumstances of this case and identify the possible extensions of this criminal activity.
