As part of ongoing efforts to enhance security and combat organized crime, the regional judicial police in Nador, in close cooperation with their counterparts in Oujda, successfully arrested a 30-year-old man with a criminal record, suspected of being involved in a criminal network specializing in drug trafficking and tampering with the scene of a traffic accident.
The incident leading to the suspect’s arrest occurred early in the morning on Saturday, December 21st, when the suspect was involved in a traffic accident. His motorcycle collided with a car on a public road. An ambulance from civil protection was called to transport the injured individual to the hospital, but the situation took an unusual turn when two cars blocked the ambulance’s path. The occupants of these vehicles helped the suspect flee the scene of the accident.
Efforts from the judicial police led to thorough investigations, which resulted in the identification and arrest of the suspect in Oujda after being transported by a private ambulance. Initial information revealed that the suspect had outstanding national arrest warrants related to drug trafficking and the distribution of narcotics, which further linked him to an organized criminal network involved in illegal activities.
As part of the investigation, the suspect is being held under medical custody at the hospital, awaiting completion of legal proceedings. His brother and the driver of the private ambulance have also been placed under judicial investigation, as they are suspected of being involved in criminal acts related to the traffic incident. Security forces continue their intense efforts to apprehend other individuals connected to this case.
