Fez/Ifrane, November 11, 2024 – Committees from the National Immunization Program Service at the Population Directorate conducted inspection visits to the regional delegations of Health and Social Protection in both Fez and Ifrane, to monitor the progress of the catch-up vaccination campaign for children under 18 years old.
These visits come as part of the national campaign launched by the Ministry of Health and Social Protection, which extends over three weeks from October 28 to November 17, 2024.
The committees held a preliminary meeting attended by officials from various concerned sectors, including health delegates from Fez and Ifrane districts, school and university health officials, and child health officials from both regions.
The meeting included a review of the campaign’s operational plan, followed by extensive discussions about the vaccination process. Subsequently, the committees conducted field visits to Ibn Zohr School in Fez and Al-Wahda and Al-Sakhr middle schools in Azrou, to directly supervise the review of children’s health records and discuss the progress with educational staff.
The visits also included the Tariq Urban Health Center in Fez and Sidi Assou Urban Health Center in Azrou, where they accompanied the work teams and addressed their inquiries. The staff at these centers expressed their commitment to the success of this national vaccination campaign against targeted diseases.
This campaign aims to ensure comprehensive health protection for children through catching up on missed vaccinations and strengthening community immunity against infectious diseases.
