In a prominent security development, the Judicial Police in the city of Fez succeeded in solving the case of a mysterious disappearance that turned into a murder. Details of the case were revealed on Monday, July 22.
According to a statement issued by the security authorities, the arrest of the suspect was based on accurate information provided by the General Directorate of National Territorial Surveillance. The detainee is suspected of involvement in a premeditated murder, in addition to attempting to hide the evidence of the crime.
The story began with a report from the victim’s family about the disappearance of their relative under mysterious circumstances. After extensive investigations, the police found that the missing person had been physically assaulted, which led to his death. Investigations are still ongoing to uncover the true motives behind the crime.
In a related context, trained police dogs were used to determine the burial place of the victim’s body, which was found in a remote area on the outskirts of Fez. The body was transferred to the Forensic Medicine Department to conduct the necessary autopsy.
The statement added that the suspect was placed under theoretical guard pending the judicial investigation being conducted under the supervision of the competent Public Prosecution. The investigation aims to uncover all the circumstances and details of this heinous crime.
