During the early hours of Sunday morning, June 2, elements of the Judicial Police Department of the Casablanca Security Directorate, in coordination with the services of the General Directorate of Territorial Surveillance, managed to thwart an attempt to smuggle 3 tonnes and 900 kilograms of the drug Al-Shira.
This security operation was carried out at the entrance to the city of Casablanca, where they managed to seize a truck in which a number of bundles of the drug Shira were found, with a total weight of 3 tonnes and 900 kilograms.
The judicial investigation continues under the supervision of the competent public prosecution, with the aim of arresting those involved in this operation and identifying other possible extensions of this criminal activity.
This security operation comes in the context of the intensive and continuous efforts made by the General Directorate of National Security and the General Directorate of Territorial Surveillance to combat the international trafficking of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances.
