Rabat, 1 June 2024: The Ministry of Interior announced the launch of the second phase of the strategic programme for the rehabilitation of passenger terminals in Morocco, as part of the implementation of the framework agreement between the Ministries of Interior, Economy, Finance and Administrative Reform, Equipment, Transport, Logistics and Water and the National Transport and Logistics Company (SNTL).
The programme aims to support 10 territorial communities at the national level to rehabilitate their road stations by providing them with legal and financial support, identifying the needs for additional works and equipment, and providing them with an information system to develop and modernise their management.
The total cost of the programme is 49.5 million dirhams, distributed between 1.56 million dirhams for the accreditation of the study office, 9.3 million dirhams for the information system, 14.1 million dirhams for rehabilitation works, and 24.5 million dirhams for equipment and logistics.
Communities benefiting from this second phase of the programme include: Jarada, Khenifra, Berkane, Dakhla, Khouribga and Meknes.
