Rabat – La Princesse Lalla Meryem a accueilli, dimanche au Palais Royal des Hôtes à Rabat, des enfants de Jérusalem participant à la 17e édition des colonies de vacances organisées par l’Agence Bayt Mal Al-Qods Acharif, sur Hautes Instructions du Roi Mohammed VI, Président du Comité Al-Qods. Cette initiative, placée sous le Haut Patronage du Souverain, illustre la continuité du soutien marocain à la Ville Sainte et à ses habitants.
Cette édition, baptisée « Phare de la paix », se déroule du 12 au 26 août courant et réunit 50 enfants de Jérusalem, filles et garçons, âgés de 11 à 14 ans, accompagnés de cinq encadrants venus de la Ville Sainte.
Selon les données communiquées, cette initiative vise à soutenir les enfants de Jérusalem à travers un programme combinant activités éducatives, culturelles et sportives. Cette édition a notamment été marquée par l’organisation de la deuxième phase de l’école d’été à Skhirat, avant le lancement du programme officiel de la colonie de vacances.
Le programme comprend des excursions éducatives, des concours artistiques et des compétitions sportives, ainsi que des visites culturelles aux côtés d’enfants marocains. Ces activités permettent aux jeunes participants de découvrir plusieurs régions du Royaume et de renforcer les liens avec leurs homologues marocains.
Lors de cet accueil, la Princesse Lalla Meryem a été saluée par Mohamed Salem Cherqaoui, directeur chargé de la gestion de l’Agence Bayt Mal Al-Qods Acharif, ainsi que par les encadrants et les enfants de Jérusalem participant à cette 17e édition.
Après une photo souvenir, la Princesse Lalla Meryem a présidé une réception offerte par le Roi Mohammed VI en l’honneur des enfants de Jérusalem participant à cette édition. À cette occasion, les enfants lui ont remis des cadeaux commémoratifs.
À cette même occasion, Mohamed Salem Cherqaoui a remis à la Princesse Lalla Meryem un ouvrage documentaire réalisé par l’Agence Bayt Mal Al-Qods Acharif, présentant le bilan des 17 éditions des colonies de vacances, lancées en 2008.
Selon les données contenues dans cet ouvrage, 850 enfants issus de différents quartiers de Jérusalem, accompagnés de 85 encadrants, ont bénéficié de cette initiative depuis son lancement. Ils ont ainsi eu l’occasion de visiter différentes régions du Royaume et de découvrir les manifestations de la solidarité marocaine avec le peuple palestinien.
Cette initiative s’inscrit dans le cadre des programmes organisés par l’Agence Bayt Mal Al-Qods Acharif au profit des habitants de Jérusalem, notamment des enfants, à travers des activités combinant les dimensions éducative, culturelle et sportive, dans le contexte des efforts visant à soutenir les habitants de la Ville Sainte et à renforcer les liens humains et culturels avec eux.
Morocco.. Princess Lalla Meryem welcomes Jerusalem children at the Royal Palace in a new initiative supporting the Holy City
Rabat – Princess Lalla Meryem welcomed, on Sunday at the Royal Palace for Guests in Rabat, children from Jerusalem participating in the 17th edition of the summer camps organized by the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Al-Sharif Agency, on the instructions of King Mohammed VI, Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee. The initiative, placed under the High Patronage of the King, reflects Morocco’s continued support for the Holy City and its inhabitants.
This year’s edition, entitled “Beacon of Peace,” is being held from August 12 to 26 and brings together 50 children from Jerusalem, both girls and boys, aged between 11 and 14, accompanied by five supervisors from the Holy City.
According to the information released, the initiative aims to support Jerusalem’s children through a program combining educational, cultural and sporting activities. The edition included the organization of the second phase of the summer school in Skhirat, followed by the launch of the official summer-camp program.
The program includes educational trips, artistic competitions and sporting events, as well as cultural visits alongside Moroccan children. These activities give the Jerusalem participants an opportunity to discover different parts of the Kingdom and strengthen ties with their Moroccan peers.
During the reception, Princess Lalla Meryem was greeted by Mohamed Salem Cherqaoui, Director in charge of managing the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Al-Sharif Agency, as well as by the supervisors and Jerusalem children participating in the 17th edition.
Following a commemorative photograph, Princess Lalla Meryem presided over a reception hosted by King Mohammed VI in honor of the Jerusalem children taking part in the camp. The children also presented her with commemorative gifts.
On the same occasion, Mohamed Salem Cherqaoui presented Princess Lalla Meryem with a documentary publication prepared by the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Al-Sharif Agency, documenting the achievements of the 17 editions of the summer camps launched in 2008.
According to the data contained in the publication, 850 children from different neighborhoods of Jerusalem, accompanied by 85 supervisors, have benefited from the initiative since its launch. They have had the opportunity to visit different regions of Morocco and witness various expressions of Moroccan solidarity with the Palestinian people.
The initiative is part of the programs organized by the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Al-Sharif Agency for the benefit of Jerusalem’s residents, particularly children, through activities combining educational, cultural and sporting dimensions, as part of efforts to support the inhabitants of the Holy City and strengthen human and cultural ties with them.
