The organizers of the “Discord Fez” group have announced its dissolution and called for an end to the protests.

The anonymous organizers of the “Discord Fez” group, which was the main platform for calling protests in the city, announced the group’s dissolution and its permanent closure. In a surprising message, the group’s leaders urged all their sympathizers to “return to their homes,” formally ending all forms of calls for gatherings.

This decision is a clear admission of the severe failure their calls faced over the past days, as they failed to mobilize any significant support on the ground and were met with widespread rejection and condemnation by the city’s residents, who expressed their commitment to calm and stability. The dissolution of the group by its owners marks the end of a protest movement that was born and died entirely in the digital space without making any real impact in Fez.

This step comes while the relevant security authorities continue their technical investigations to identify the owners of the accounts involved in spreading inciting content, aiming to take the necessary legal measures against them regardless of their recent decision to end their activities.
