The Ministry of Royal Palaces, Protocol, and Honors announced that the Commander of the Faithful, His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist and support him, will preside tomorrow evening, Thursday, the 10th of Rabi’ al-Awwal 1447 AH, corresponding to September 4, 2025, over the celebration of the Mawlid al-Nabi (the birth of the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him) at Hassan Mosque in the city of Rabat.
This blessed religious ceremony, which His Majesty keenly presides over annually, embodies a genuine Moroccan tradition and a noble practice of the Alaouite family in commemorating the birth of the Master of the Messengers and the Seal of the Prophets, our Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him.
This religious event is expected to be attended by prominent figures, including the Head of Government, the Presidents of both Houses of Parliament, His Majesty’s advisors, members of the government, heads of constitutional institutions, senior officers of the Royal Armed Forces Command, members of the accredited Islamic diplomatic corps in Rabat, alongside a number of scholars, elected officials, and other civilian and military dignitaries.
The Mawlid night is a great religious occasion widely celebrated by the entire Moroccan people, with festivities spreading across all regions of the kingdom. Mosques and zawiyas resonate with the Prophet’s praises and invocations, while families gather in atmospheres of joy and spiritual delight, following the Sunnah approach confirmed by the Commander of the Faithful in glorifying this revered occasion.
The proceedings of this religious ceremony will be broadcast live on Moroccan radio waves and television screens.
