Heavy Rainfall Expected in Several Moroccan Provinces Over Weekend

The Moroccan General Directorate of Meteorology (DGM) has announced forecasts of locally heavy rainfall during Saturday and Sunday across many regions of the Kingdom.

The Directorate issued an orange-level weather alert indicating that rainfall amounts ranging between 15 and 35 mm are expected to affect the provinces of Tangier-Asilah, Fahs-Anjra, Mdiq-Fnideq, Tetouan, Chefchaouen, Larache, and Kenitra from Saturday at 6:00 PM until Sunday at 9:00 AM.

The weather bulletin also indicated that the same weather phenomenon will extend on Sunday from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM to include the provinces of Khemisset, Sidi Slimane, Sidi Kacem, Ouezzane, Meknes, El Hajeb, Fez, Moulay Yacoub, Taza, Taounate, Al Hoceima, and Driouch.

The Directorate called on citizens to take necessary precautions and stay informed about updated weather bulletins during this period.
