Nador.. 30 Years in Prison for Amoussa Azeghnaghan in a Case Linked to Organized Crime

Morocco – The Criminal Chamber of the Nador Court of Appeal sentenced Amoussa Azeghnaghan to 30 years in prison on Wednesday, September 30, 2026, in a case involving allegations related to serious criminal offenses, according to information circulating about the case.

The verdict followed a judicial process and investigations that had continued since the individual’s arrest and his appearance before the King’s Prosecutor General, before he was placed in Selouane Local Prison. He had been the subject of a large number of national and local wanted notices, reportedly involving more than 50 cases in total.

According to information published about the case, the judicial proceedings included allegations involving the formation of a criminal gang, international trafficking in narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances, and links to networks involved in irregular migration, in addition to other acts that were the subject of judicial investigation and inquiries.

The case underwent extensive judicial investigations at the Nador Court of Appeal before the Criminal Chamber examined the case and handed down a 30-year prison sentence.

The ruling brings an end to the first-instance stage of one of the criminal cases that has attracted significant attention in the Nador region, pending the outcome of any subsequent judicial stages, in accordance with the applicable legal procedures.

Maroc – La chambre criminelle de la Cour d’appel de Nador a condamné, hier mercredi 30 septembre 2026, Amoussa Azeghnaghan à 30 ans de prison ferme, dans une affaire comprenant des accusations liées à de lourds dossiers criminels, selon les informations circulant au sujet de l’affaire.

Le verdict intervient après une procédure judiciaire et des investigations qui se sont poursuivies depuis l’arrestation de l’intéressé et sa présentation devant le procureur général du Roi, avant son placement à la prison locale de Selouane, alors qu’il faisait l’objet d’un grand nombre de mandats de recherche aux niveaux national et local. Il aurait été concerné par plus de 50 affaires au total.

Selon les informations publiées au sujet du dossier, les poursuites judiciaires comprenaient des accusations relatives à la constitution d’une bande criminelle, au trafic international de stupéfiants et de substances psychotropes, ainsi qu’à des liens avec des réseaux actifs dans l’immigration clandestine, en plus d’autres faits ayant fait l’objet de recherches et d’une enquête judiciaire.

Le dossier avait fait l’objet d’investigations judiciaires approfondies au niveau de la Cour d’appel de Nador, avant que la chambre criminelle n’examine l’affaire et ne prononce une peine de 30 ans de prison ferme.

Ce jugement met ainsi fin à la phase de première instance de l’une des affaires criminelles ayant suscité un large intérêt dans la région de Nador, dans l’attente de ce que pourraient donner les étapes judiciaires ultérieures, conformément aux procédures légales en vigueur.
