Fez, Morocco – On Wednesday, 26 June 2024, the Appeals Chamber of the Financial Crimes Court in Fez sentenced Sofiane Derissi, clerk of the Fez Community Council, to six months in prison on charges of abuse of influence.
The judgement comes as part of an extensive investigation by the judicial authorities into an alleged corruption network involved in the manipulation of contracts and deals within the Fez Community.
