Morocco is preparing to take an additional turn to better monitor its northern coasts and combat illegal immigration and drug trafficking. According to digital sources, the auxiliary forces will have a command center (38th Command) for the mobile depot (mobile intervention units), as well as a barracks.
These two units will be housed on an area of approximately 20,000 square meters in the Tazaghin community in the state of Driush. More will be known about the construction cost once the relevant tenders are launched. The government has already begun the necessary land expropriation procedures.
It concerns several plots of land located in the Tazaghin community, most of which are agricultural. The Auxiliary Forces units participate, along with the Royal Armed Forces, the police and the gendarmerie, in securing the Moroccan coast and in combating drug smuggling and illegal immigration.
