Morocco – Denmark has renewed its position in support of the autonomy proposal put forward by Morocco to settle the issue of the Moroccan Sahara, considering it a good basis for reaching a consensual political solution between the parties.
This position was expressed by Danish Foreign Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen during a press statement on the occasion of the working visit to Copenhagen by Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccans Residing Abroad, Nasser Bourita.
The head of Danish diplomacy affirmed that his country, in line with the position of the European Union, welcomed the adoption of United Nations Security Council Resolution 2797 concerning the issue of the Moroccan Sahara.
Rasmussen also described the Moroccan autonomy proposal as “credible,” noting that it provides a serious and essential contribution to the ongoing UN process aimed at reaching a political settlement of the issue.
The Danish official stressed that the Moroccan autonomy plan represents “a good basis for a solution acceptable to the parties,” in a position that reflects Copenhagen’s continued engagement in international efforts aimed at finding a political settlement to the conflict.
These statements come amid the growing international momentum surrounding the issue of the Moroccan Sahara and reflect, according to the Danish position, support for the ongoing UN process based on the search for a realistic, pragmatic and consensual political solution.
Denmark’s joining of this position, as a member of the United Nations Security Council, constitutes a new indication of the growing international support for the Moroccan autonomy proposal within the UN process aimed at settling the issue of the Moroccan Sahara.

Maroc – Le Danemark a renouvelé sa position en faveur de la proposition d’autonomie présentée par le Maroc pour régler la question du Sahara marocain, la considérant comme une bonne base pour parvenir à une solution politique consensuelle entre les parties.
Cette position a été exprimée par le ministre danois des Affaires étrangères, Lars Løkke Rasmussen, lors d’une déclaration à la presse à l’occasion de la visite de travail effectuée à Copenhague par le ministre des Affaires étrangères, de la Coopération africaine et des Marocains résidant à l’étranger, Nasser Bourita.
Le chef de la diplomatie danoise a affirmé que son pays, en cohérence avec la position de l’Union européenne, se félicitait de l’adoption de la résolution 2797 du Conseil de sécurité des Nations unies concernant la question du Sahara marocain.
Rasmussen a également qualifié la proposition marocaine d’autonomie de « crédible », soulignant qu’elle constitue une contribution sérieuse et essentielle au processus onusien en cours, dans le but de parvenir à un règlement politique de la question.
Le responsable danois a insisté sur le fait que le plan marocain d’autonomie représente « une bonne base pour une solution acceptable par les parties », dans une position qui reflète la poursuite de l’engagement de Copenhague dans les efforts internationaux visant à trouver un règlement politique au conflit.
Ces déclarations interviennent dans le contexte de la dynamique internationale croissante autour de la question du Sahara marocain et reflètent, selon la position danoise, un soutien au processus onusien fondé sur la recherche d’une solution politique réaliste, pragmatique et consensuelle.
