Meknès – Les éléments du premier commissariat de police de la zone de sécurité de Ouislane ont été contraints, ce mardi à la mi-journée, de faire usage de leur arme de service afin d’interpeller un suspect qui opposait une violente résistance à son arrestation. L’homme est soupçonné d’avoir agressé ses parents et blessé un policier lors de l’intervention.
Selon les premières informations, l’affaire a débuté après que la mère du suspect a déposé une plainte auprès des services de police, affirmant avoir été victime d’une agression. Son père aurait également été blessé au niveau du cou, ce qui a conduit une patrouille de police à se rendre au domicile familial pour procéder à son interpellation.
Au cours de l’intervention, le suspect aurait refusé d’obtempérer aux injonctions des policiers avant d’agresser l’un d’eux à l’aide d’un bâton, lui causant des blessures ayant nécessité son transfert vers un établissement hospitalier pour recevoir les soins nécessaires.
Face au danger immédiat que représentait le suspect pour les policiers et les personnes présentes sur les lieux, l’un des agents a fait usage de son arme de service. Il a d’abord tiré un coup de semonce, avant d’atteindre le suspect à la jambe gauche, ce qui a permis de neutraliser la menace et de procéder à son arrestation.
Le père du suspect, le policier blessé ainsi que le suspect ont été transférés à l’hôpital régional Mohammed V de Meknès pour y recevoir les soins nécessaires. Le suspect a été placé sous surveillance policière à l’hôpital.
Le parquet compétent a ordonné l’ouverture d’une enquête judiciaire afin de déterminer les circonstances de cette affaire, d’en établir les causes et les responsabilités, conformément aux résultats des investigations.
Cette intervention s’inscrit dans le cadre des missions de la police visant à protéger les personnes et à garantir la sécurité publique, dans le strict respect des dispositions légales encadrant l’usage de l’arme de service en cas de danger imminent.
Meknes: Police use service weapon to arrest suspect after alleged assault on his parents and injury of an officer in Ouislane
Meknes – Police officers from the First Police District in the Ouislane Security Zone were forced on Tuesday afternoon to use their service weapon to arrest a suspect who violently resisted apprehension. The man is suspected of assaulting his parents and injuring a police officer during the intervention.
According to preliminary information, the incident began after the suspect’s mother filed a complaint with the police, alleging that she had been assaulted. His father was also reportedly injured in the neck, prompting a police patrol to go to the family home to carry out the arrest.
During the operation, the suspect allegedly refused to comply with police instructions and attacked one of the officers with a stick, causing injuries that required the officer to be taken to hospital for medical treatment.
Faced with what was described as an immediate threat to the safety of the officers and other people at the scene, one of the police officers used his service weapon. He first fired a warning shot before shooting the suspect in the left leg, allowing officers to neutralize the threat and take him into custody.
The suspect’s father, the injured police officer, and the suspect were all transferred to Mohammed V Regional Hospital in Meknes for treatment. The suspect remains under police guard while receiving medical care.
The competent public prosecutor has ordered a judicial investigation to determine all the circumstances surrounding the incident, establish its causes, and identify any legal responsibilities based on the findings of the investigation.
The operation forms part of law enforcement efforts to protect individuals and ensure public safety, while complying with the legal framework governing the use of service firearms in situations involving an imminent threat.
