El Hajeb – Le Syndicat national de la santé publique, affilié à la Fédération démocratique du travail (FDT), a appelé à l’ouverture d’une enquête administrative à la suite d’un incident survenu à l’hôpital provincial d’El Hajeb, affirmant qu’il a entraîné l’immobilisation d’une ambulance en provenance du service des urgences de proximité d’Aïn Taoujtat. Le syndicat demande que les circonstances de l’affaire soient clarifiées et que les responsabilités soient établies.
Dans un communiqué, le bureau provincial du syndicat indique que l’incident s’est produit mercredi à 4 h 02 du matin, lorsqu’une ambulance est arrivée à l’hôpital pour transporter un patient dans le cadre d’une mission habituelle.
Selon la même source, une fois cette mission terminée, l’équipe d’ambulanciers a reçu une demande de transfert d’un autre patient vers un établissement hospitalier différent. Le technicien ambulancier a toutefois estimé que cette mission ne relevait pas des compétences de l’ambulance affectée au service des urgences de proximité d’Aïn Taoujtat.
Le syndicat affirme que ce refus a provoqué un différend au sein de l’établissement et soutient qu’un agent de sécurité privé a empêché l’ambulance de quitter les lieux sur instruction de sa hiérarchie. Il ajoute que le technicien ambulancier aurait été victime de propos jugés offensants avant que le véhicule ne soit finalement autorisé à repartir.
Le bureau syndical rappelle que les ambulances du centre d’urgences de proximité d’Aïn Taoujtat ont pour mission d’assurer le transfert des patients vers l’hôpital provincial d’El Hajeb, tandis que les décisions de transfert vers d’autres établissements relèvent de la compétence de l’hôpital d’accueil après la prise en charge médicale du patient.
Le syndicat estime que tout retard ou immobilisation d’une ambulance en dehors de ses missions réglementaires est susceptible de compromettre sa disponibilité pour d’autres interventions d’urgence. Il appelle ainsi la Direction provinciale du ministère de la Santé et de la Protection sociale à El Hajeb à ouvrir une enquête administrative transparente et à prendre les mesures nécessaires afin de garantir le respect des attributions professionnelles et le bon fonctionnement du service public de santé.
À l’heure de la publication de cette information, ni la direction de l’hôpital provincial d’El Hajeb ni la Direction provinciale du ministère de la Santé et de la Protection sociale n’avaient réagi aux allégations contenues dans le communiqué syndical. El Hajeb: Health union calls for investigation after alleging ambulance was prevented from leaving provincial hospital
El Hajeb – The National Public Health Union, affiliated with the Democratic Federation of Labour (FDT), has called for an administrative investigation into an incident at El Hajeb Provincial Hospital, claiming that an ambulance from the Aïn Taoujtat local emergency unit was prevented from carrying out its duties. The union is demanding that the circumstances of the incident be clarified and accountability established.
In a statement, the union’s provincial office said the incident occurred at 4:02 a.m. on Wednesday, when an ambulance arrived at the provincial hospital to transport a patient as part of a routine medical mission.
According to the statement, after completing the transfer, the ambulance crew was asked to transport another patient to a different healthcare facility. However, the ambulance technician reportedly considered that this assignment fell outside the responsibilities of the ambulance assigned to the Aïn Taoujtat local emergency unit.
The union alleges that the refusal led to a dispute within the hospital and claims that a private security guard prevented the ambulance from leaving the premises following instructions from hospital officials. It further alleges that the ambulance technician was subjected to offensive remarks before the vehicle was eventually allowed to depart.
The union stressed that ambulances assigned to the Aïn Taoujtat local emergency service are responsible only for transferring patients to El Hajeb Provincial Hospital, while decisions regarding referrals to other healthcare facilities fall under the authority of the receiving hospital after the patient has been assessed.
It argued that delaying or immobilising an ambulance outside its designated duties could compromise its readiness to respond to other emergency situations. The union therefore called on the Provincial Directorate of the Ministry of Health and Social Protection in El Hajeb to launch a transparent administrative investigation and take the necessary measures to ensure respect for professional responsibilities and the proper functioning of the public health service.
At the time of publication, neither the management of El Hajeb Provincial Hospital nor the Provincial Directorate of the Ministry of Health and Social Protection had issued any response to the allegations contained in the union’s statement.
