Meknès – Le Conseil préfectoral de Meknès a tenu, ce lundi 8 juin 2026, sa session ordinaire du mois de juin au siège de la préfecture, annexe Agdal. L’ordre du jour comprenait plusieurs projets et conventions portant sur les infrastructures, les équipements ainsi que les services sociaux et culturels de la province.
Les travaux du Conseil ont débuté par la présentation d’un rapport sur les activités de la présidence, ainsi qu’un résumé des travaux de la session précédente, avant l’examen des différents points inscrits à l’ordre du jour.
Parmi les principaux dossiers examinés figurait l’étude d’un projet d’acquisition d’un nouveau siège pour le Conseil préfectoral de Meknès, ainsi que la discussion et le vote d’un projet de convention de partenariat réunissant le ministère de l’Éducation nationale, du Préscolaire et des Sports, le Conseil préfectoral de Meknès et plusieurs partenaires institutionnels, afin de contribuer à la réalisation du Grand Stade de Meknès.
Les membres du Conseil ont également examiné un projet de convention de partenariat visant l’acquisition d’une ambulance au profit de la commune de Toulal, dans le cadre du renforcement et du rapprochement des services de santé au bénéfice des citoyens.
L’ordre du jour comprenait aussi l’étude d’un projet de convention de partenariat entre le ministère de la Jeunesse, de la Culture et de la Communication – Département de la Culture –, le Conseil préfectoral de Meknès et l’Association Meknès Cultures, en vue de l’organisation du festival « Aïssaoua et Musiques du Monde », considéré comme l’un des événements culturels majeurs de la ville.
Dans le domaine sportif et social, le Conseil a examiné un projet de partenariat avec l’Association Racing Ryad Zitoun sportive, sociale, culturelle et environnementale, ayant pour objectif le renouvellement du gazon du terrain de proximité n°1 du quartier Marjane 2.
Les travaux de la session ont également porté sur l’étude d’un projet de convention de partenariat entre le Conseil préfectoral et la commune de Dkhissa pour l’aménagement de la route reliant la route provinciale 7036 au douar El Baaïch El Kheloua, dans le but d’améliorer les infrastructures routières et de faciliter les déplacements des habitants.
Ces projets s’inscrivent dans les efforts visant à renforcer les infrastructures et les services de base dans la province de Meknès, à travers des partenariats réunissant différents acteurs institutionnels et locaux
Meknes: Development Projects in Sports, Healthcare, and Road Infrastructure Discussed by the Provincial Council Amid Expectations for Concrete Implementation

Meknes – The Meknes Provincial Council held its regular June session on Monday, June 8, 2026, at the provincial headquarters in the Agdal annex. The agenda included a number of projects and partnership agreements related to infrastructure, public facilities, and social and cultural services within the province.
The session opened with the presentation of a report on the activities of the council presidency, along with a summary of the previous session’s proceedings, before moving on to the examination of the items listed on the agenda.
Among the most prominent issues discussed was a project to acquire a new headquarters for the Meknes Provincial Council, as well as the discussion and approval of a partnership agreement involving the Ministry of National Education, Preschool Education and Sports, the Meknes Provincial Council, and several institutional partners, aimed at contributing to the construction of the Grand Stadium of Meknes.
Council members also discussed a partnership agreement for the acquisition of an ambulance for the benefit of the Municipality of Toulal, as part of efforts to strengthen healthcare services and bring them closer to citizens.
The agenda further included the examination of a partnership agreement between the Ministry of Youth, Culture and Communication – Department of Culture –, the Meknes Provincial Council, and the Meknes Cultures Association for the organization of the “Aissawa and World Music Festival,” considered one of the city’s most prominent cultural events.
On the sports and social front, the Council reviewed a partnership agreement with the Racing Ryad Zitoun Sports, Social, Cultural and Environmental Association aimed at renewing the artificial turf of Neighborhood Sports Field No. 1 in the Marjane 2 district.
The session also included the study of a partnership agreement between the Provincial Council and the Municipality of Dkhissa for the development of the road linking Provincial Road 7036 to Douar El Baaich El Kheloua, in a move intended to improve road infrastructure and facilitate mobility for local residents.
These projects form part of broader efforts to strengthen infrastructure and essential services across the Meknes Province through partnerships bringing together various institutional and local stakeholders.
