Meknes – Local sources told Fes News that the competent authorities have launched, since the beginning of this week, an extensive field campaign in the Al-Bassatine neighborhood of Meknes to combat the unlawful occupation of public space, in parallel with ongoing redevelopment works in the area.
Meknès – Des sources locales ont indiqué à Fès News que les autorités compétentes ont entamé, depuis le début de la semaine, une campagne de terrain d’envergure au quartier Al-Bassatine à Meknès, visant à lutter contre l’occupation illégale du domaine public, en accompagnement des travaux d’aménagement en cours dans le secteur.

According to the same sources, the campaign includes the removal of facades and sidewalks built outside the legal framework, particularly those linked to certain shops and cafés, in preparation for completing redevelopment works on the main road connecting Al-Bassatine district to the central market and Bassatine 7, extending to the eastern entrance of the Fes–Oujda highway.
Selon les mêmes informations, la campagne porte notamment sur la démolition des façades et trottoirs édifiés en dehors du cadre légal, en particulier ceux liés à certains commerces et cafés, en vue d’achever les travaux d’aménagement de l’axe principal reliant l’arrondissement Al-Bassatine au marché central et à Bassatine 7, jusqu’à l’entrée est de l’autoroute Fès–Oujda.

Last September saw the launch of redevelopment works on Saâdiine Avenue, which links Al-Bassatine neighborhood to the new town, with a total budget of approximately 59.2 million dirhams. The project is overseen by the Regional Agency for Project Implementation in partnership with the Meknes Prefecture and the Meknes Municipality, and is scheduled for completion within nine months according to the adopted timeline.
En septembre dernier, les travaux d’aménagement de l’avenue Saâdiine, reliant le quartier Al-Bassatine à la ville nouvelle, ont été lancés pour un coût global d’environ 59,2 millions de dirhams. Le projet est supervisé par l’Agence régionale d’exécution des projets en partenariat avec la préfecture de Meknès et la commune de Meknès, avec un délai d’exécution fixé à neuf mois selon le calendrier établi.

The same sources added that works have also begun to extend the redevelopment project to cover the road leading to Bassatine 7, as part of efforts to improve infrastructure and enhance traffic flow in the area.
Les mêmes sources ont ajouté que les travaux d’extension du projet ont également été lancés pour inclure l’axe menant à Bassatine 7, dans le cadre de l’amélioration des infrastructures et de la fluidité de la circulation dans la zone.
