The Maghreb Association Sportive de Fès (MAS) football club has issued a strong statement of condemnation, addressed to the sports public, the “Yellow” fan base, and all national football institutions, including the supervising ministry, local authorities, and competent bodies. The statement expresses the club’s deep anger over what it described as “arbitrary and incomprehensible actions” by the official in charge of Sports Incentive Company, which is responsible for managing the Great Fez Sports Complex.
The Club Accuses the Company of Unjustifiably Obstructing Team Training
In its statement, the team asserted that the complex officials refused to allow the players to train normally, despite the club having obtained a written and explicit license permitting the use of the Habibi Stadium, according to correspondence issued by the complex management on June 28, 2025. Furthermore, specific training sessions had been allocated to the team between June 30 and July 19, 2025.
Despite this—the statement added—the club was surprised by being barred from accessing the pitch, a move it described as illegal and unethical, noting that this decision caused a “disruption to the preparation schedule for the upcoming season.”
MAS: We Will Not Remain Silent About Arbitrary Practices
The club emphasized its total rejection of these actions, which it labeled as arbitrary and irresponsible, stressing that it would not hesitate to pursue all legal procedures to secure its rights and defend its interests.
The statement clarified that the team respects all concerned institutions but, in return, demands reciprocal treatment, especially when it concerns established and clear rights, citing official documents that confirm the legitimacy of its training sessions.
Call for Sports Governance and Respect for Standards
The club affirmed that these practices “are not based on any legal or sporting foundation” and could contribute to disrupting the team and diverting focus from the preparations for the new season.
It also called for the necessity of putting an end to these transgressions and protecting the rights of clubs, including respecting the commitments of the parties responsible for managing sports stadiums.
MAS: We Will Not Back Down from Protecting Our Rights
The club concluded its statement by affirming that it would not stand idly by and that its patience “has run out,” noting that what happened constituted a clear attack on the team’s sporting progress.
The club also announced its strong determination to take escalatory steps if these behaviors persist, in order to maintain its standing in national football and in line with the High Royal Directives calling for the development of the sports system.
