El Hajeb – The Director of the Regional Academy for Education and Training of the Fez-Meknes region, accompanied by the Provincial Director of El Hajeb Directorate, conducted on Monday, November 17, 2025, a field visit to the construction site of Ain Dahbia School in the territorial commune of El Hajeb. This visit aims to monitor work progress and confirm the Academy’s commitment to expanding educational offerings to bring educational institutions closer to male and female students, and provide a stimulating educational environment for good academic achievement.
Project Objectives and Regional Importance
Ain Dahbia School represents added value to the El Hajeb commune, as it will contribute to expanding educational offerings in the area, achieving spatial equity, and combating school dropout, especially among girls. This initiative comes within the national strategic vision for education reform 2015-2030, which focuses on building modern school infrastructure in remote areas to ensure equal and quality education for all.
The new school includes equipped classrooms, a library, and sports and health facilities, enhancing the positive educational climate and facilitating students’ access to education from neighboring neighborhoods. Work is expected to be completed in the coming months, ready to receive male and female students at the beginning of the next academic year.
Broader Regional Context
This visit is part of a series of efforts made by the Academy to develop educational infrastructure in the region, having announced in its annual report the establishment of 15 new institutions during the past year, contributing to reducing the school dropout rate by 8% in rural areas. These projects also enhance social empowerment for girls, who constitute more than 48% of students benefiting from regional spatial equity programs.
This project represents a concrete step toward achieving the strategic vision’s goals, amid widespread welcome from local residents who confirmed that the school will transform the face of the area and encourage continued education.
