Fez – Residents of the Bab Khoukha Social Center in Fez issued a statement to the public, announcing a successful meeting with the Governor of the Fez-Meknes region and the Governor of the city of Fez, as part of their advocacy for the rights of professional integration and dignified living. The residents confirmed that their legitimate demands received a positive response from the Governor, who promised to set a later date to continue discussions and study ways to respond.

Details of the Meeting and Statement Content

The statement indicated that the residents presented during the meeting, held today, specific demands related to improving conditions for professional integration, ensuring sustainable job opportunities, and providing conditions for dignified living. They noted that the Governor showed great interest, affirming the legitimacy of these demands and his openness to constructive dialogue. He also pledged to personally follow up on the file through a subsequent working session, reflecting the regional authorities’ commitment to practical solutions for residents’ issues.

Thanks to the Governor and Call for Follow-up

The residents concluded their statement by expressing their sincere gratitude to the Governor for his warm reception and effective listening to their concerns, considering this a positive step toward strengthening trust between citizens and the administration. They called for continued joint efforts to achieve effective social integration, especially for vulnerable groups in society.

This comes after the Fez commune, in the person of its council president ‘Abdessalam Bakkali’, did not respond to an administrative correspondence addressed to it by those concerned, as stated by a spokesperson for the residents to Fez News in a voice message.

This meeting represents a model of social dialogue in the Fez-Meknes region, amid anticipation of the results of upcoming sessions that may contribute to sustainable solutions for residents’ issues.
