Meknes – November 4, 2025 – The Higher Institute of Nursing Professions and Health Techniques of Meknes (ISPITS), in partnership with the Moroccan Association of Pharmacovigilance, organized a scientific day on Monday, November 3, 2025, under the theme “Patient Safety in Oncology: The Nurse, a Key Actor in Reporting Side Effects of Anticancer Drugs.” The event aims to promote a culture of pharmacovigilance and ensure patient safety in the field of oncology.
Participants and Program
The meeting witnessed the participation of more than fifty people, including Master’s students, nursing staff, and participants in continuing education, alongside experts specialized in oncology and pharmacovigilance. Expert presenters delivered a series of lectures and scientific presentations, focusing on:
- Concepts of pharmacovigilance in nursing practice.
- Safety of anticancer drugs.
- Practical workshops for analyzing real-world cases, aimed at enhancing practical learning.
The day sought to establish a culture of treatment safety, strengthen nurses’ competencies in monitoring side effects, and discuss prevention methods and improving the quality of patient care.
Conclusion and Evaluation
At the conclusion of the meeting, attendees expressed their appreciation for the level of organization and quality of presentations, and certificates of participation were distributed to all participants in recognition of their active engagement. This event is a purposeful initiative for developing professional skills in the field of specialized healthcare.
