In a concerted effort to foster innovation and entrepreneurship, the universities of Sidi Mohamed Ben Abdellah in Fes, Moulay Ismail in Meknes, and Al Akhawayn in Ifrane have announced the opening of applications for project holders wishing to participate in the Fes-Meknes Regional Entrepreneurship Forum, scheduled for March 2026. This comprehensive event aims to encourage a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship among students, doctoral candidates, research professors, and young innovators by transforming promising ideas into tangible economic and social initiatives that contribute to the development of the region.
Selected candidates, following the application deadline on November 10, 2025, will benefit from training workshops, mentoring sessions, and meetings with local and regional investors to explore avenues for developing and accelerating the implementation of their projects. Five key thematic areas have been identified, reflecting the economic strengths and specificities of the Fes-Meknes region: Artificial Intelligence, Agriculture, Health, Finance, and Tourism.
The forum will conclude with a regional final stage in March 2026, where the top five innovative projects from each of the three universities will be showcased, with the prospect of receiving support and recognition within the regional entrepreneurship ecosystem. According to the organizers, the forum remains open to all creative initiatives, regardless of their field, to encourage diversity and innovation.
