Warning Sit-in at Al-Hajeb Provincial Hospital Over Delayed Payment of Health Workers’ Dues

The local office of the National Health Union, affiliated with the Democratic Confederation of Labour (CDT), organized a warning sit-in on Monday, October 27, 2025, in front of the Al-Hajeb Provincial Hospital.
The protest aimed to denounce what the union described as the administration’s failure to pay the financial dues owed to health workers, particularly the delayed installments of on-call, mandatory service, and duty allowances for the year 2025.

According to the union, repeated appeals for payment have gone unanswered, prompting the workers to escalate their protest actions.

The protesters called for an immediate settlement of all outstanding financial entitlements for the various hospital staff, stressing that prolonged delays could negatively affect work performance and staff morale.

In its statement, the union emphasized that this sit-in is part of an escalating protest plan aimed at defending the material and moral rights of healthcare professionals, while reaffirming its readiness for constructive and responsible dialogue to reach fair solutions.
