Fès Hosts the 5th Sustainable Agriculture Forum with Wide Academic and International Participation

The Agricultural Chamber of the Fès-Meknès region, in partnership with Sidi Mohamed Ben Abdellah University – Faculty of Sciences Dhar El Mahraz in Fès, is organizing the 5th Sustainable Agriculture Forum on October 29-30, 2025, starting at 9:00 AM at the branch headquarters of the Agricultural Chamber in Fès.

This forum is held within the framework of the TECGREMED project funded by the European Union’s Erasmus+ program, with participation from universities and scientific institutions from several countries, including:

  • University of Cassino and Southern Lazio, Italy
  • Polytechnic University of Valencia, Spain
  • Fondazione Scienze e Libertà, Italy
  • Zarqa University, Jordan
  • University of Jordan
  • An-Najah National University, Palestine

Forum Theme:

“Sustainable Agriculture: International Experiences in Water Resource Management and Environmental Alternatives”

The forum aims to exchange international expertise in managing water resources and adopting environmental alternatives in agricultural practices through scientific presentations and discussions among experts, academics, and professionals. The focus is on ways to enhance water and food security in the face of current climate challenges.

The event also seeks to encourage applied scientific research in sustainable agriculture and link the university with its socio-economic environment to develop practical and environmental solutions adapted to the specificities of the Fès-Meknès region and Moroccan agricultural areas in general.

The forum is expected to attract researchers, engineers, farmers, and representatives from public and private institutions, alongside environmental and professional organizations. This reflects Morocco’s openness to international experiences and its commitment to scientific cooperation for green and sustainable agriculture.
